On the somber morning of September 11 th , 2023, Corte Bella residents
came together to pay tribute to the heroes and victims of the tragic
events that unfolded on that fateful day in 2001. The local Fire
Department 103 conducted their Belle Ceremony which has become a
symbol of remembrance, resilience, and unity within the community.
This year marked the 22 nd anniversary of the attacks, a day forever
etched in the collective memory of Americans and people around the
world. The ceremony was concluded with a 21-gun salute provided by
Sun City West American Legion Post #94 with Taps to complete the
ceremony.
Corte Bella residents turned out in large numbers to show their support
for the fire department and to remember the heroes of 9/11. The
ceremony, held two decades after the event, provides a reminder of
that tragic day and still unites communities across the nation.
